If I had my dream Job

If I had my dream job....I would be a cardiologist but working in the non for profit clinic I opened for those who are in need of healthcare but are not able to get medical care. I would not care for the money or a title just to be able to give back from the tons that I have received.

Asimo Robot

I thought the robot was extraordinary. It amazes me that people are able to create something that is able to resemble us and create movement that I thought only humans are able to do, but I do wonder what the future will be like. If this technology is continuing to improve what will happen to the millions of people who will be out of work? I wonder if the government is ready to pay so much unemployment. So I must ask is it really a benefit to create robots with such enhanced technology? I personally believe robots should remain a hobby and so overpriced that only those who truly have the money/luxury will be able to enjoy because I would not want to compete with a man made machine for a job.

I think my group decided on creating a video about the different resources that will definitely help them. The video is semi-serious but not really. An example we gave was Google would be their best friend during their senior year.

Capstone Presentation Reflection

1.) How did it go?
My capstone presentation in my opinion were good. At first I was talking really fast and had no idea how to start or end my presentation. I was lucky to have been able to juniors first instead of adults so my first time nerves went away very fast, but then the advisers and principal Jackson come up to me and tell me to present and that when I realized I was talking really fast. After that presentation, I believe I did really well and I had a confidence booster when assistant principal Hinkle complimented my speaking abilities.

2.) Was it what I expected?
Absolutely NOT. I did not expect presentations to seem like a career fair that the college was holding. I think I was expecting something more formal just because my capstone teaching would constantly remind us that the project was serious and we had to come dressed up like as if presenting an important speech to the community. I also was expecting the judges to be different. I was only judged by one person and she was really sweet. I thought the judges were going to be mean and ask very specific hard question, but all the questions she asked me were opinion based.

3.) What if anything would I do differently?
I believe I would make my poster differently. I decided to use a trifold in order to display my poster and other fliers but I did not decorate it as much as I would like. My capstone teacher told the class to keep them extremely simple because the judges were not going to be interested in all the colors and glitter but when I looked at other tables/presenters they went all out on their trifolds and I know I could have done so much more on mine to make it look attractive.

Friday Videos:PSA

When I saw the storyboard that was made for the title of 6 inches under, I was surprised. Most of my storyboards that I have created have relied heavily on words and descriptions not detailed pictures. I was also surprised to how close the storyboard was to the real thing. Plus I thought that no one used storyboards. I thought that the school was making us do all this extra work but I was wrong because even professionals use them

I really liked the PSA videos because they were simple and not over done. I personally do not like it when PSA's are overly dramatic because it does not capture the seriousness of there messages, but these videos were able to act out their scenes with out over doing it. My fear for my video is that it will be over done and not have a serious tone.
