Friday's Videos

The basic message of the Ted-Talk video was small ideas can spark into huge discoveries. I did enjoy the message but I wish he would have used examples that were more modern because it would be more realistic than stuff that was years ago. I noticed that he used power point slides and a cardboard wheel. The props were very simple.
The Onion talks parody was actually really interest. I did not know it was a parody. I seriously thought he was being serious but I did have my doubts because I was not sure why he was delivering his message so seriously and paused. If someone would have not said it was a parody I would have spent all day trying to figure out how to make our chickens quack and what was the reference for.

Videos

My presentation will be serious because it is about families. I believe simplicity would work the best just because the simple things are sometimes the things that are forgotten in families. I think I want to stick with bright colors such as yellow and turquoise just because those are the colors on my website and also they are eye grabbers. I believe my printed material is persuasive because it is simple but yet has a message that stands out. My point of view is understood through the reason why I decided to choose this topic and what brought me to believe that this project was a serious issue. I intend to create a video which can be a topic during a PTA meeting so that parents are aware of the seriousness of the issue.

Friday Video

The Gap video was over the mental block the creative writer go through. The video described how the writer know what their taste and have a vision how they want to develop it but they get stuck along the way. The writer ends of stuck possibly for years but the purpose of the video was to tell those writers that it is okay to go through the mental block because it happens to everyone and it is completely normal. Also just because a person is having a mental block that does not mean that the person should quit but push through the mental block. Even though I am not a creative writer, I find this motivational because even with simple writing assignments or a project I always have an idea and I start off strong but mid way through the assignment I find myself not sure and I get stuck.

The Facebook video was interesting because I did not know the background of how it came about. I found it really interesting that Mark created the social media page for Harvard students and then it later evolved into the whole world being connected.

Dreamweaver

I have decided to stick with dreamweaver just because I have made good progress and feel like I finally am getting the hand of the program. Plus I don't want to start all over again.
